Shepherd Training
 
The Crisis Response Shepherd (Shepherd) is at the heart of the UIC Crisis Response Model. A Shepherd commits to walk alongside a crisis survivor in one of their greatest times of need, helping them transition from crisis to a place of stability.  
This training will:
 – Give you understanding of the Good Shepherd model
 – Give you understanding of how Shepherds are called into action.
 – Equip you with the skills to be a Shepherd

New Volunteer Orientation Training

We are glad you are interested in joining the United in Crisis team! The New Volunteer Orientation will introduce you to the mission of the ministry, and give you practical next steps to become a UIC-KC badged volunteer. 
This training will:
 – Explain the Crisis response model 
 – Equip you to be a United in Crisis-KC volunteer
 – Explain the United in Crisis Organization
 – Qualify you to receive your badge and tee-shirt

 – Qualify you to participate in official United in Crisis deployment 

Call Center Training
 
The Call Center is a vital resource, acting as a hub to receive and give information to people who need help. 
This training will:
 – Equip you to become a Call Center volunteer
 – Give you understanding of general Call Center operations
 – Test your knowledge by participating in a simulation as a Call Center Volunteer during a crisis deployment.
